The Moppett & Buster (& Fidel) Home Page

(With in-built "Hungry Cat Simulator")

Yes, Moppett & Buster get their own home page. They were born on 15 and 17 October 1997 respectively and were "liberated" from a pet shop at Stafford City, home of quality companion animals! Beth thought that Moppett looked cute; Buster happened to be in the same cage and awake at the time.

Here is a picture of them as very young cats, doing their Abba impersonation on the "Spuds & Onions" box:

Buster is very much a cat of leisure, although he does spend a good part of the night engaged in secret black cat business. That is what black cats do best. Mostly, he spends his days like this (a very characteristic pose - taken in Novermber 1999 when he was just over two years old):

And here is a picture of one of our favourite toys, the Tortie-in-a-box (taken in August 2000 at nearly 3 years old):

This one is of both of the FCAs as two year olds sitting at the computer:

Needless to say, there are many, many more photographs of Moppett & Buster available for uploading to this web site. It's just that their HCAs (Human Companion Animals) are a bit lazy at the moment. Stay tuned for more feline photography.

Vale Buddie

Late in the evening of 30 September 2001, Buster was killed by a neighbour's dog. We were devastated, as anyone who has ever dearly loved a pet will know you can be. Especially if that dearly loved pet was a wonderful and beautiful cat, like our Buster was. Buster was buried the following day in one of his favourite places in our garden.

On Saturday 24 November 2001, a new little FCA entered our lives - Mr Fidel Catro. Fidel is already showing himself to be a genius among cats - exceptionally curious and inquisative and quick to work out the tricks that doting HCAs get up to! These two photos of Fidel were taken in his first week at Casa Bunnett-Mohle.

This is Fidel showing his clear-sighted appreciation of the difficulties of inter-species communication while holding audience high up on the back of a lounge chair:

And this is Professor Catro, wearing his perpetual look of surprise, at the site of his first experiments in Fluid Dynamics:

"Catcam" - What are they doing now??
